  1. I'm only 16 but I'm thinking of hiking from Daytona beach FL to Quantico Straight to the USMC base. 806miles. Google map says it will take me 11days. The way I see it is if I survive, OCS will be a Cake Walk.

  2. Hiking with plate carriers on you and main pack on the back is an entirely different beast. You have to adjust the pack so that the waist belt sits low enough to be below the plate carrier, but tight enough to keep weight off of your shoulders entirely. If you have on a war belt you have to make sure the waist belt of the belt doesn’t fuck with that either.
